Position Overview: Gray Ink is actively seeking multiple talented Scientific & Technical Grant Writers to join our expanding roster. We are working with a growing number of academic institutions and forprofits looking to secure funding for research and development of cutting edge innovations across a variety of fields. As our clients need to write highly technical proposals, you'll specialize in translating intricate scientific and technical data into compelling grant proposals.
Your expertise in crafting narratives that attract funding will be instrumental in furthering our clients' missions and bolstering Gray Ink's presence in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Writing & Development:
Research & Synthesis: Navigate through scientific literature, client data, and project specifics to extract pertinent details.
Proposal Crafting: Construct persuasive grant proposals that are responsive to the relevant RFPs, guaranteeing they resonate with the target audience or funding agency while maintaining technical precision.
Editing & Review: Uphold impeccable standards for all written outputs, ensuring coherence, alignment with funder objectives, and error-free content.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Client Engagement: Interact closely with client teams to decode the technical nuances of their projects and funding aspirations.
Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly with fellow grant writers and other Gray Ink team members to ensure a cohesive approach in representing client projects.
Industry Engagement:
Opportunity Scouting: Stay abreast of relevant grant opportunities in the scientific and technical realms.
Knowledge Upkeep: Continuously update oneself with the latest trends and developments in the scientific grant landscape.
Feedback & Iteration:
Post-Submission Reflection: Work with Senior Consultants to analyze feedback post grant decisions to enhance future proposals.
Process Enhancement: Suggest and integrate best practices, enriching Gray Ink's grant writing procedure.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background: A graduate-level degree (Masters, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or technical discipline. (e.g., "biomedical engineering," "environmental science," "quantum computing," etc.)
Specialized Experience: Proven track record in grant writing, with a specific focus on your specific technical field.
Industry Insight: Demonstrated understanding of scientific methodologies, literature, and data interpretation relevant to your technical discipline.
Grant Landscape Familiarity: Acquaintance with the prominent agencies, platforms, and entities in the grant-funding ecosystem.
