Senior Consultant, full-time (non-exempt)

Salary: $85,000 annual, with a 32-hour workweek.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for a slate of clients, working collaboratively with clients to develop and execute on a fundraising strategy that meets their organizational goals. We work with most of our clients in the long-term, requiring that long-term relationships are cultivated and managed with the utmost respect.

Outstanding candidates bring an interest in business development, a diverse background, and a passion for strengthening forprofit and nonprofit companies to advance their missions. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable of the landscape of fundraising in a specific field, self-driven, collaborative team member with leadership experience in raising funds from institutional funders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients to develop fundraising strategies and cultivation plans

  • Change management coaching and support

  • Working alongside the executive team to define the pitch used in funder meetings; practice the pitch with the executives and help the management team preempt investor questions

  • Conducting analysis of our clients through review of fundraising performance and interviews with organization's executives, volunteer leaders, and donors

  • Preparing and/or project managing institutional funding proposals, including narrative, operating materials, budgets, and appendices

  • Conducting in-depth prospect research

Qualifications:

  • Experience securing large, institutional grants and/or contracts for nonprofit and/or forprofit entities as both an individual and a member of a team

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, including executives and coordinators

  • Outstanding project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent ability to develop and argument and tell a story, leveraging data as needed to strengthen the argument. Preference for being able to do this in writing, as most of our work culminates in proposals for funding

  • Computer proficiency with specific capacity to use the tools necessary to manage work remotely (Google Drive, Dropbox, Zoom, Google Meets, Airtable, etc.)

  • Strongly preferred: Specific experience working with forprofits to secure federal grants.
